4.45am : Arrive at Yik's house
     
5.00am : Taxi to KLIA airport
     
5.45am : Flight check in
     
6.05am : Had breakfast at Mcdonald
     
6.45am : Go to Gate A11 waiting hall
     
7.10am : On board to flight AK334
     
7.45am : The flight suppose to take off at 7.15am, this Air Asia, sigh...Maybe not its fault, there are too many flight schedule in the morning and MAS has given its flight highest priority to fly before Air Asia flight take off.
     
7.50am : Plane take off
     
8.30am : Arrive at Sultan Mahmud Airport, Kuala Terengganu. Upon walk out from the arrival hall. We go to find Laguna Redang Resort booth in the airport. Soon, the guy directed us to a the hotel's bus. It is a very nice and comfortable bus.
     
8.45am : Bus taking us to Merang Jetty. Nothing much to see on the way to jetty. Just normal lift-up Kampung houses.
     
9.30am : Arrive at Merang Jetty. We have to check in at the hotel's check point and to get boarding passes. There is a market selling souvenir key chain, t-shirt, drinks, food and etc...we were told to wait at the restaurant near the check point. Not sure when will be our turn, so we did not walk around the market.
     
9.35am : The person incharge asked all of us walk to the jetty platform and hand our luggage to the boatman. After a while, we get into the boat. The boat's condition is fine, there's air-cond, fan to keep the heat away. By the way, all the windows are sealed.
     
10.20am : Arrive at Laguna Jetty - the hotel has its own jetty at the back of the hotel premises. When we get down from the boat, we are not sure if we are supposed to walk to the hotel or wait for someone to take us. But as we see a lot of people waiting at the jetty, so we continue waiting. Few minutes later, a hotel trams come. We get on the tram.
     
10.30am : Actually, the jetty and hotel just about 500 meters of distance. We were greeted by the hotel waiters with welcome drink. Then, we proceed for briefing.
     
10.45am : Check in at the reception counter. Go to find our room. It is a wonderful room.
     
11.00am :

Since there is about an hour to go for lunch. We decided to walk around and take some photos. The beach is very nice. The best time to take beach photos is in the afternoon. If you take photos of the beach in the morning, you will not able to see light blue sea and white sand.

The sea water is very clear, i can see my feet clear thru the water.
     
12.00noon : Time for lunch. The hotel serves buffet style meal. The meal is ok.
     
1.30pm : Rest for a while after lunch. We are planning to go for 2.30pm snorkeling trip and starting to get ourselves ready. So, first we go to recreation center to loan snorkeling gear set, then loan towels from a counter of the swimming pool and go for change.
     
2.00pm : Start walking to Laguna jetty. We have to be there 15 miniutes before 2.30pm.
     
2.10pm : Quite a lot of people are waiting at there. Soon, the person incharge came and give us briefing about where we will go for snorkeling and what are the rules. This trip is a deep sea snorkeling. I did not pay attention of where will we go for snorkelling, if I'm not mistaken, it is Old Dalang Bay.
     
2.30pm : Get on a snorkeling boat. It takes about 15 minutes plus to go to the snorkeling site.
     
2.50pm :

My boyfriend, yik and myself are first timer to do snorkeling. Boyfriend knows how to swim, yik and myself do not know, though we have put on life jacket.

After our "explore", we know how to snorkeling. We saw a lot of mushroom coral, some fishes (I have no idea what are they called, anyway they are still fish) One of the person incharge capture a clown fish (Nemo), sea cucumber and show to us. The clown fish is cute, sea cucumber - yucks!
     
4.30pm : Whistle blown to ask us back to the boat. It's time to go back to the hotel.
     
4.45pm : Arrive at Laguna jetty. We all go for jacuzzi. Shiok!
     
6.00pm : Back to our room and take bath. Watch TV. There's no 8TV over there.
     
7.00pm : Dinner time. It is BBQ style buffet dinner. It is nice.
     
8.30pm : All of us are very tired on the first day. We go back to our room. Yik starts sleeping. My boyfriend and I are chatting and watch tv.
     
9.30pm : Zzzzz...
     
 
     
11th Apr. 2005
     
7.00am : Wake up.
     
7.30am : Breakfast time. Their breakfast is GOOD. All of us like it very much.
     
8.30pm : Back to the hotel and get ready for snorkeling at Marine Park
     
9.00am : Walk to Laguna Jetty.
     
9.15am : Briefing time.
     
9.30am : This time, there are three snorkeling boats departs for snorkeling.
     
9.45am : Fun time with FISH. We feed them with bread, they swim to us. A lot of beautiful fish.
     
11.00am : Time to go back on the boat.
     
11.20am : Rest in the room.
     
12.00noon : Lunch time. Today's lunch is better than yesterday :D
     
1.30pm : Yik decided go for snorkeling in the afternoon. I decided to take a nap, feel tired.
     
4.35pm : Yik is back. Watching tv again.
     
6.00pm : Bath time.
     
7.00pm : Dinner time. haha..today's dinner is better than yesterday's too!
     
8.30pm :

Finish dinner. Take a walk at the Pasir Panjang. There are a lot of other resorts/hotels at Pasir Panjang other than Laguna Redang Island Resort. Personally, i suggest to choose Laguna Redang Island Resort or Redang Beach Resort. Others are so so. Berjaya Redang Resort is not bad though, but it is isolated at another sea side.

We saw blue sea fireflies. It shines when it is pushed by the wave up to the beach and then faded. We use our feet to scratch the beach and it shines again. I do not even know there is sea fireflies :D I read the information from redang.org to realise there is sea fireflies. It is very pretty.
     
10.30pm : Back to our room and sleep. We have to get up early for sunrise on the next day.
     
 
     
12th Apr. 2005
     
5.45am : Wake up
     
6.00am : Walk to the beach.
     
6.15am : There are a number of people earlier than us. We start taking photos, and walk nearer to the beach.
     
7.00am : Enjoy the Sunrise.
     
7.15am : Breakfast time.
     
8.30am : Play a few games of pool while yik go back to sleep.
     
10.00am : Go to more more tea inn souvenir shop. It is expensive.
     
11.00am : Back to room, ask yik to join us for walking.
     
11.15am : Go to Redang Reef Resort.There is a souvenir shop which sells a lot of necklaces.
     
12.00am : Lunch time.
     
1.30am : Preparing for the last snorkeling trip of this trip before going home tomorrow.
     
2.00pm : Walk to the jetty.
     
2.15pm : Briefing.
     
2.30pm : Depart to Mat Dalang Bay for snorkeling.
     
2.45pm : I saw a lot of sea cucumber, but very few fish.
     
4.15pm :

Get back to the boat, feel dizzy.

When the whistler blown, there is a person has swimmed too far away from the boat. The other two snorkeling boats were gone, another boat is waiting for him to swim back.
     
4.30pm : Back to Laguna Jetty. Yik and myself go to shark bay for snorkeling. We saw SHARK, it's black tip baby shark :D, they won't bite you. A lot of pretty fish at shark bay.
     
6.00pm : Sea wave is getting stronger, we go back for jacuzzi.
     
7.30pm : Bath then go to take dinner.
     
8.45pm : We visit some shops to buy souvenir, had beer and chit chatting by the beach.
     
10.30pm : Feel tired, Zzzzz....
     
 
     
13rd Apr. 2005
     
8.00am : Wake up
     
8.15am : This is the last breakfast in this hotel in this trip :(
     
9.15am : Go back to our room and prepare our luggage to check out.
     
10.00am : Check in our luggage and check out. After check out, we wait for the hotel tram at lobby.
     
10.30am : Tram arrived, don't wish to leave.
     
10.35am : Arrive at Laguna Jetty. Get on board.
     
11.40am : Arrive at Merang Jetty. Get on board to a bus. We are allowed to walk around the market for 15 minutes. Bought some souvenirs.
     
12.00noon : Bus driver asked us where would we want to go before catching 2.55pm flight. We choose to visit lekor and keropok stall.
     
12.30pm : Bought lekor, it is nice, fresh and yummy.
     
1.10pm : Arrive at Sultan Mahmud Airport. Check in for flight AK 339. Found out the flight is delayed from 2.55pm to 3.35pm. :O
     
1.20pm :

Order some drinks at HM restaurant. Everything is very, very expensive. Yik bought a reload card at a store in the airport for her mobile phone's credit, charge her more expensive than the actual price. I don't think this happen in KLIA.

Starting to get boring.
     
3.10pm :

I went to peep if the flight is here. Can't see anything. Ask Air Asia personnel, flight delay AGAIN until further notice :O. Heard KLIA has big storm, our flight is depart from Miri to KLIA. Air Asia shares planes to travel around in Malaysia. Since KLIA has bad weather, the flight can't land at KLIA. So, we have to continue waiting.

     
4.00pm :

It is too hot outside. We go into departure hall to have air-cond.

Announement said AK339 DELAYED again, the plane is estimatated to arrive in KT at 6pm. Argghh...
     
5.55pm : MAS flight arrived and take off. We are still in the departure hall. 555...:(
     
6.30pm : Finally, my flight has arrived. Get on board.
     
6.55pm : Take off.
     
7.35pm :

Arrive at KLIA. There are a lot of people in domestic hall. I guess a lot of flights have delayed.

We reserved and book a taxi to yik's house.

     
8.00pm : KFC time.
     
9.00pm : Take taxi to go back.
     
9.40pm : Arrive at yik's house.
     
10.10pm : Home sweet home. Very tired, but I have a pleasant memory of Redang trip. I want to go there again. :)
